SUMMARY:Better future festival in Bacau (Romania): Inclusive Growth and families
DESCRIPTION:The Festival for a Better Future is a project led by ELFAC\, within its European Network of Family Friendly Municipalities\, and funded by the European Commission’s CERV (Citizens\, Equality\, Rights and Values) program. The aim is to highlight the role of the family in tackling Europe’s main challenges. Themes such as “The Europe we want”\, “Welcoming cities for a caring EU”\, “Greener cities\, greener EU” and “Inclusive growth” are the central themes of each of the four events\, one for each partner municipality of the project: Alghero (Italy)\, Bacau (Romania)\, Creixell (Spain) and Gdynia (Poland). \nEach event consists in a conference with experts in the topic\, a workshop of good practices of municipalities\, and a discussion of young people with a final manifesto. Also includes a “feast” event\, like a concert\, activitities for families and children\, workshops in museums or cultural centers\, excursions\, etc… \nOur 4th event in Bacau wants to discuss on “Inclusive growth” by engaging citizens and municipalities in a greater reflection and action for the constructions of inclusive cities. By facilitating dialogue\, sharing best practices\, and exchanging ideas and good practices\, we empower municipalities\, families and citizens to prioritize the inclusion of all ages and situations\, for the well-being in all of our communities. \n \nGeneral Logistics – Better Future Festival Bacau \nTransfer of Delegations: The Bacău City Hall can provide car transfers for delegations arriving at or departing from Bucharest and Iași airports. \nAccommodation: Hotel Dumbrava \n  \nPROGRAM\nBETTER FUTURE FESTIVAL – INCLUSIVE GROWTH\n30 May – 1 June\, 2025\, Bacau – Romania\nFriday\, May 30 \nArrival of Participants \nSaturday\, May 31 \nConference & Cultural Program \nConference (ends no later than 6:00 PM) \n\nModeration: Representative of the Bacău City Hall\nRO – ENG translation provided\nInvited participants:\n\nFamily-friendly companies from Bacău:\n\nMoncler – clothing production\, has an in-house kindergarten https://www.moncler.com/en-ro/\nDedeman – DIY & home improvement retailer\, founded by  2 brothers form a large family with 9 children https://www.dedeman.ro\nAgricola – chicken products producer\, has its own kindergarten https://www.agricola.ro\n\n\nInvited NGOs:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFoundation for Community Support – Bacău https://fsc.ro/\nBetania Association https://www.asociatiabetania.ro/\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOther guests suggested by ASFANU: Municipalities potentially interested in joining the european family network\n\n\n\nAfter the Conference: \n\n6:00 PM – 8:00 PM: City walk and visit of family-focused activities; open-air disco\n8:30 PM: Traditional dinner offered by the City Hall with artistic program (at the hotel where guests are accommodated)\n\nSunday\, June 1 \nFamily Day \n\n10:00 AM – 2:00 PM: ASFANU Stand (TBC)\n4:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Flashmob – synchronized dance world record attempt\nEvening: Concert\n\nACTIVITIES FOR FAMILIES FROM 30 MAY TO 1ST JUNE \n\nOn the International Children’s Day\, Bacău becomes the capital of joy!
