An IFFD Briefing at the United Nations Headquarters

Internetional Federation For Family Development (IFFD) invites all governmental and non-governmental representatives for their event "The role of families in the future we want - Promoting the empowerment of families in the Sustainable Development Goals". The main point of the agenda will be IFFD 2015 Family Awards Ceremony, honouring persons and entities devoted to the promotion of family values.

The Opening Speech made by Marina Robben (World President of IFFD) will consider Family and well-being for all at all ages. Later, invited guests will talk about Family as a school of equality (Ferin Merve Ylmaz Göksan), Productive employment and decent work for all (Kristin Bodiford) and The value of unpaid care and domestic work (Marie Béatrice Levaux). After the Awards Ceremony, Renata Kaczmarska (Focal Point on the Family -United Nations DSPD/DESA) will conclude the event with her speech on The United Nations, the family and Sustainable Development Goals.

The event will take place on Wednesday 11 February 2015 (1:15-2:45 p.m.) in New York, General Assembly Building of United Nations.
