Professionals from large family associations throughout Spain have met in San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Madrid) to participate in the Working Days organized each year by the Spanish Federation of Large Families (FEFN) to learn about the work carried out by these entities in the different autonomous communities
The meeting, supported by the Ministry of Social Rights, allows technical teams from across Spain to share time, learn about projects, exchange ideas and experiences, and coordinate joint actions. This year’s event brought together more than 40 workers, professionals, and volunteers from Andalusia, Aragon, Castile-La Mancha, Castile and León, Catalonia, the Community of Madrid, the Valencian Community, Extremadura, and the Region of Murcia.
The sessions included workshops with speakers, one of them offered by Agustín Pérez of Ágora Social , on fundraising, which emphasized the importance of diversifying funding sources; Another on teamwork led by Fernando Gascón of Infova , which got the attendees to play games to reflect on the importance of empathy and collaboration in professional relationships.
Later in the afternoon, the attendees were able to enjoy a visit to San Lorenzo de El Escorial , around the Monastery, a relaxed moment to continue sharing and strengthening the team that works throughout Spain for a common goal, large families.
Exchange of experiences
Projects and best practices from the associations were also presented, one of the most valued aspects of the workshops, as it allows participants to learn from the experiences of other associations and replicate successful projects in providing care and services to families elsewhere. The associations participating in this panel on best practices were Fanoc in Catalonia, 3ymás in Aragon, and Asafan, the provincial association of Alicante.
And to finish, a fun team game of Kahoot about the world of large families, in which the knowledge of the professionals from the associations about their work and the history of the entity was tested, with the three workers from Fefanex, Extremadura, emerging as winners.
