Webinar: Families and the Economy
13 October, 2020 | 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, represented by Latter-day Saint Charities in New York and Geneva, and the European Union & International Affairs Office in Brussels, is pleased to invite you to join us for the next episode of “Fortifying Families” webinar series.
Episode 2, “Families and the Economy” will air live on Tuesday, October 13 at 9:30 AM ET (New York) / 3:30 PM CEST (Brussels). Registration is required and free of charge.
During our last episode, our speakers agreed that families should be seen as economic units. They not only contribute economically to society, but can raise children who will be productive members of their communities. Good policymaking should consider families as countries’ most important economic investments. Appropriate fiscal policies will support financially stable families and help others to move above the poverty line. Additionally, children raised in financially stable families are also less likely to engage in high-risk behaviors (such as substance abuse and early sexual debut).
This episode is organized in partnership with the School of Family Life at Brigham Young University, and the European Large Families Confederation. It will run approximately 30 minutes. We encourage active participation from the listeners. If you wish to do so, please use the space provided on the registration form, or during the webinar, to suggest questions for our guest speakers.
