Last month was an exciting one. We opened applications for the second online workshop within our Keeping Up with IT project and received a large number of applications for the workshop held on March 13 via the Zoom platform.

The workshop, How to Use Digital Tools to Protect Children in the Online World?, was led by Tea Čičić, M.A. in Social Work, an expert from the Center for a Safer Internet. She provided parents with practical guidelines on how to create a safe digital environment for children and young people.
Parents were introduced to various digital tools available to help protect children while using the internet, social media, and video games. The second part of the workshop focused on communication with children—how to start a conversation about online safety, when to introduce this topic, and how to discuss rules for responsible internet use.
On February 25, 2025, the president of the Families 3plus association, Kristian Jambrošić, attended the Family-Friendly Employer award ceremony, which was held for the sixth time. Ivan Vidiš, State Secretary at the Ministry of Labor, Pension System, Family, and Social Policy, attended as a representative of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia.

He emphasized the importance of amendments to the Labor Act that have enabled greater work flexibility and highlighted the significance of paternity leave, describing it as a major step toward balancing work and private life—an improvement that our Association helped refine with its proposals.
Among others, Terme Sveti Martin received an award for its exceptional achievements in creating a supportive environment for employees and their families. Terme Sveti Martin has been a longtime partner in our Family Card program.
Most importantly, we have actively participated in the public consultation process for the Act on Amendments to the Socially Encouraged Housing Act.
We believe that young families, especially those with children, should have access to all available support measures, including those proposed in these amendments, regardless of housing loan subsidies. Our goal is to help secure the future of families with children in Croatia, and we strongly advocate for a quality housing policy that benefits young families—especially those with multiple children.
