The Portuguese Large Families Association (APFN) is bringing together more than 50 large families for Family Land Sports: Around the World, which aims to combine family time with physical activity.
Family Land Sports: Around the World consists of a series of sports games to be played as a family, in a peddy paper format. A country will be associated with each game and a task will be carried out, followed by a passport being stamped. These activities include, for example, canoeing, mini-golf, among others.
Family Land Sports: Around the World is a free initiative and has the support of the Faculty of Human Motricity, the Student Association of the Portuguese Faculty of Human Motricity, the Portuguese Youth Institute and the Jamor National Sports Center.
The action takes place place on October 14th at the Jamor National Sports Center, a complex of public sports facilities located in the Jamor river valley, in Oeiras, Portugal.
The event is scheduled to start at 9:30 am and activities will continue during the morning, ending with a family picnic in the Jamor area.
The APFN celebrated its 24th anniversary this year and currently represents more than 11,000 Portuguese large families.
