Public panel ‘Living in a Big Family’ held in Dubrovnik

On Friday, October 18th 2019, in Dubrovnik, Croatian Association of families with three or more children organized a public panel entitled “Living in a Large Family: Challenges, Benefits and Welfare for the Individual and Society”. This event was held to raise awareness in society that living in a large family is demanding, but also multiply beneficial for individuals and the entire society. Speakers at this event were: Raúl Sánchez, general secretary of the European Confederation of Large Families (ELFAC), Ivan Malbašić, president of the Croatian Association of families with three or more children, Vanda Đanić, cellist and mother of five children, Silvia Sokal Gojavić, clinical psychologist and mother of four children, Dživo Brčić, Head of the Department for education, sport, social welfare and civil society of the City of Dubrovnik.

Representatives of the Croatian Families 3plus Association met with the leadership of the City of Dubrovnik

On Friday, October 18th 2019 representatives of Croatian Families 3plus Association and ELFAC held a meeting with the mayor of the City of Dubrovnik concerning the accession of the City of Dubrovnik to the European Network of Family-Friendly Municipalities. This meeting symbolically began the process of joining the City of Dubrovnik to the network of European Friends of Large Families. Representatives of the City of Dubrovnik presented some of the family policy measures already in place in the City of Dubrovnik. Additionally, new options for improving these measures were discussed, at three levels – for domestic Dubrovnik 3plus families, then for 3plus families from the rest of Croatia, and for 3plus families coming to Dubrovnik from other European countries. Discussions on the improvement of these measures will continue in the coming months in order to show the City of Dubrovnik as much as possible that it appreciates families with children, and in particular those families with three or more children. Discussions will continue in the coming months on how to improve these measures, so that the City of Dubrovnik shows to the greatest possible extent that it appreciates families with children, and in particular those families with three or more children.

Croatian Families 3plus Association meets with Minister for Demography

On Thursday, October 10th, at the initiative of the Croatian Association of families with three or more children (Families 3plus), a meeting was held with Vesna Bedeković, the Minister for Demography, Family, Youth and Social Policy of the Government of the Republic of Croatia. 

At the meeting, president of the Croatian Association Ivan Malbašić and his associates made concrete proposals with the aim of improving family policy and demographic revitalization of the Republic of Croatia. Representatives of the Association also emphasized that it is necessary to radically change the tax policy for the benefit of families, especially for the benefit of families with three or more children.

Croatian Families 3plus Association continuously promotes positive aspects of 3plus families in the media

In recent weeks, the Croatian Association of families with three or more children was significantly represented in the media. It is important to promote the positive aspects of life in a large family as much as possible. We are especially pleased that members of the Association are increasingly participating in this promotion by publicly sharing a part of their family everyday life.
