The project ‘Families´ Network’ created by the Portuguese Large Families Association (APFN) continues in 2021 with more sessions, bringing together families from different areas of the country, such as Évora, Coimbra, Aveiro, Setúbal, Santarém, Castelo Branco and Lisbon.
Created in 2014, ‘Families´ Network’ promotes online meetings between families to address current issues, share their routines, experiences, as well as strategies and the challenges of being a large family. It is an experience of sharing, learning and mutual support between families.
On April 29th, the ‘Families´ Network’ brought together 18 new families which analyzed a case about Lock Down. The families, who were part of this session, reflected together and shared their routines, experiences, strategies and challenges of being a large family in the pandemic period that is going all over the world. Also in conversation were topics such as the difficulties of teleworking and the management of children’s activities at home and the positive things and points of improvement. For this month of May, new ´Families´ Network’ sessions are already scheduled.
To be noted that in 2020 ‘Families´ Network’ was responsible for promoting (always in an online format) 13 meetings between large families associated to APFN.
APFN promotes and believes in mutual support by sharing of experiences among associate families.
