Large families at the center of the debate on Poland’s future

In the face of a growing demographic crisis, the issue of supporting families – especially large families – is gaining renewed urgency: Parliament establishes a committee on large families

On April 16, a meeting of the Parliamentary Group for Large Families was held at the Chancellery of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy.

The Large Families Association “Three Plus” was represented by Management Board Member Agnieszka Korpowska, Chair of the National Council Joanna Krupska, Spokesperson Anita Łodzińska, and Vice-President Łukasz Wojdak.

The main topic of the meeting was the presentation of legislative proposals aimed at genuinely improving the situation of large families – including very large families.

In the context of demographic challenges, large families are now of particular importance for Poland’s future.

“From a demographic perspective, large families represent a highly desirable model. We believe that if an issue is socially important, the necessary resources can be found,” emphasized MP Andrzej Gut-Mostowy.

This meeting was not only expert-driven, but also deeply personal

“We dream of families being at the heart of Poland. That we truly see children, appreciate mothers, and draw joy and inspiration from them. Only in this way can we reverse the negative demographic trend,” said Łukasz Wojdak, Vice-President of the Association and father of six.

The next meeting is scheduled for May 14, on the eve of the International Day of Families.

This is an important step towards a coherent family policy – because family issues go far beyond a single area. They also include:

  • housing
  • transport
  • education
  • economic security
