New Support Measures for Large Families Announced in Croatia

The Ministry of Demography and Immigration has signed a €500,000 agreement with the Hrvatska za djecu Foundation to provide financial support to families with four or more children. The program aims to improve children’s living conditions and strengthen support for large families in Croatia.

Families may receive a one-time payment of €300 per child, with a maximum amount of up to €4,000 per family per year. The funds may be used for various purposes, including purchasing equipment and essential items for children, covering housing costs, making minor home adaptations, or addressing extraordinary life expenses.

Eligibility for the support is limited to families with four or more children who meet specific conditions, including Croatian citizenship or
residence in Croatia and a defined income threshold.

This initiative is part of the broader cooperation between the Ministry and the Foundation aimed at strengthening demographic measures and providing practical support to large families through financial assistance and housing-related support.
