Romanian large families association ASFANU organise free courses for children from large families

ASFANU – The Association of Large Families, in collaboration with the Alber Foundation, organizes free art, dance and theater courses for children from large families in the county of Brașov. Between June 19 and July 28, 2023, a number of 48 children from large families have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with basic techniques in the field of dance, ballet, painting and theater.

With the help of experienced teachers, these children have the opportunity to create artistic moments that they will present in a show and in a dedicated exhibition. These events will take place on July 29, 2023.

The purpose of the “Creative summer for children from large families” project is to contribute to the development of the artistic skills of children from families with 3 or more children in Brașov county. The project runs for six weeks and all activities are free. The courses will take place in the spaces made available by the project partners, Ateliere Dreptaru and Floarea minții – center for personal development through theatre.

“Children from large families need a harmonious development of their talents and abilities, and for this they must be supported to benefit from equal opportunities for education. For many of the large families in Romania, investment in children’s education is the highest priority, but also an important catalyst for family expenses”, says Irina Granzulea, president of ASFANU – Association of Large Families.
