ELFAC is present at the Family Festival in Trento from 3 to 9 December

“Quality of life and territorial competitiveness: an international look. If the family well-being grows, society, economy and territory grow “: this is the title of the 7th edition of the Family Festival, which will be held in Trento from 3 to 9 December 2018. It is promoted and organized by the Provincial Agency for the family, birth and youth policies and will have the patronage of the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Scheduled over 20 events in 7 days organized in partnership with various public and private bodies and stakeholders of the Agency.

On Monday 3 December the inaugural event will be held at the Social Theater. Regina Maroncelli, president of ELFAC, will attend the opening ceremony together with the Italian Minister of Family Lorenzo Fontana.

ELFAC has organized a seminar on Saturday 8th December: “Declaration for a European Network of Family-Friendly Municipalities” with the participation of experts on indicators of quality of life and representatives of good practices from several European municipalities.

Alongside economic factors, the quality of life is an important component of the attractiveness of a territory because it attracts individuals and companies, generating capital for development. The 2018 Family Festival wants to deepen this pair by analyzing the policies on family wellbeing with an international look. It is only through the comparison and exchange of good practices that good family support programs are born, the only subject able to guarantee to the community growth and social, cultural and economic development: “If the family grows, society grows”.
